Procedure to uninstall the MyVoice digital recorder software and driver

 

  • Note: the uninstall procedure will not delete any voice recorder files that you have previously downloaded to your computer.
  • The default directory for these files is “C:\Program Files\DVRM\DVR-008\voicedata”

 

  1. Remove the DVR software.
    1. Go to control panel-> Add or remove programs
    2. Scroll down “DVR Manager DVR-008”. Select Change/Remove
    3. Select the Remove option, next, and continue to complete the uninstall
    4. Close the Add or remove programs window

     

  2. Remove the USB device driver
    1. Go to control panel->system->hardware->device manager
    2. With the recorder connected to the computer and turned on there should be a USB device with a yellow ? or ! (under “other devices” or “universal serial bus controllers”)
      • If you are unsure which device to uninstall, disconnect the voice recorder from the computer – the usb device that disappears is the voice recorder
      • reconnect the voice recorder with the power turned on and the device will reappear
    1. Right click on this device and select “uninstall”
    2. Close the device manager

     

  1. Disconnect the voice recorder from the computer
  2. Remove the installation CD from the drive
  3. Restart the computer
