Procedure to install the MyVoice digital voice recorder software and usb device driver

1. Insert the installation CD
1. (if you have already installed the voice recorder software skip to step 3)
2. if the software installation does not start automatically

• Click the windows Start->Run
• Click “Browse”
• On the left panel select “My Computer”
• In the list, select “DVR_MANAGER”
• In the list, select “DVRM”
• Click “Open”
• Click “OK”

2. Follow the installer prompts to load the software (you do not need to reboot your computer when it is finished)
3. Remove the batteries from the voice recorder (you will not lose any of your recordings)
4. Connect the voice recorder to the computer
5. Turn on the voice recorder
6. The computer should detect a new usb device and the “Found New Hardware Wizard” should start automatically
7. Install the usb device driver
1. In the Found New Hardware Wizard, select “Yes, this time only” (Click “next”)
2. Select “Install the software automatically…” (Click “next”)
3. You may get a warning that says “Forus USB Controller – DVR008 has not passed Windows Logo testing…” Click “Continue Anyway”
4. The wizard should find 2 drivers for your “Forus USB controller – DVR008. Hilight the first choice. (Click “next”)
5. Click “Finish”
6. A bubble from the Windows taskbar should confirm that “Your new hardware is ready to use”
8. To verify that the driver was correctly installed, double click on the DVR-008 icon on your desktop to open the voice recorder software.
9. In the lower left corner of the DVR Manager software window you should see two green boxes “index” and “usb” You should also see the contents of your voice recorder in the lower half of the screen.
10. If the boxes in the lower left corner are RED or you have any other difficulty, please do not hesitate to contact us for live technical support.

NOTE: After the usb driver has been successfully installed it is not necessary to remove the batteries from the recorder before connecting it to the computer.
